C3, costume wise…
I wore my Imperial Officer on Thursday morning – not much to say there, except I still want new pants and a new rank insignia thingie.
I wore Padme lake dress for a while after that – and the necklace completely fell apart. LOL. That’s what I get for wearing a 3 year old costume and not checking it before packing it! I’ll have to fix the necklace before the Ep3 premiere, because a friend of mine is wearing it. It’s not a big thing. But, on my way back to the hotel I was just holding the necklace in my hand and someone wanted a picture, so I posed in this goofy way, holding the necklace up… I really wish I could find that pic online somewhere, lol.

Everything went pretty well. I wore it a LOT, like a couple of hours thursday, all day saturday and then sunday morning. That is a LOT for me!
The only bad thing is a tear on the inside left leg – I’m going to have to see if I can repair it, but this fabric is so picky… if I can’t repair it I’ll have to get more fabric and just replace the legs, I guess. I’d hate to do that, so I hope I can fix it.
I still need to add the metal pieces to my shoulder pieces, but otherwise, I’m happy with it. I would at some point like to add more pouches and things to my belt and maybe build the lightsaber…
Parade dress held up well, surprisingly!!
good lord, that little leia was so cute!!
Only thing was the bottom petals got quite dirty – I’ll have to clean them before Comic Con. And my bangs kept getting in the way – before, they always stayed trapped under the tiara so they didn’t do that, but I never even noticed them at C3.
Still going to embroider the parasol for next time, too.

I bought my material for Yuuko Sunday. I still have a few more things to get, but I’m on my way. I got my base wig, too. Oh and my boots! I love my boots. I’m so happy with them.
Jupiter is looking kinda dim right now, because I haven’t bought a single thing for it, except base shoes. I did find some fabric online that I like, I’ll go ahead and order it and see if I can get it done.
Swimsuit – is underway!! I can’t wait to finish it 🙂
Another project: pajama pants. I’m going to make several pairs of pajama pants for myself, because I’m sick of mine, and I always see this cool Batman or My Little Pony fabric at the fabric store that I can’t use for anything – except pajama pants!
For A-Kon, I’m going to try to have Yuuko and Jupiter done of course. Definitely Yuuko.
I can’t decide what else to bring though. I’m almost certainly going to bring Belldandy, just because… I love wearing Belldandy. I *might* bring Hild (if I can find room for the wig, but Yuuko’s wig will get priority space), and maybe Ozma (although i’m definitely wearing that at Comic Con, so I may not mess with it for Akon), Dark Phoenix, Mara Jade (if I can fix the leg), or Integra (just cause I love wearing it, but it’s so hot…).
Anybody have suggestions?
Comic Con is looking to be, new costume wise, Arwen’s Blood Red Dress and Starfire.
Dragoncon is so up in the air right now because we came up with a great skit we want to do, so most of my costume-making time will probably be devoted to that.
And I’m on the verge of doing the one costume I said I’d never do. I’m planning on just buying the major pieces, since it’s just going to be a party/late night costume. I blame my friends who are egging me on… plus it’ll MAKE me have to get my abs looking better!!!
I’m still trying to finish the renovation/move for the costume site. I’ll get it done eventually…
